A comprehensive appraisal report includes a detailed description of each item, such as metal type and karatage, trademarks or hallmarks, dimensions, weight, method of manufacture, style, and—when appropriate—period and provenance. Each piece is then thoroughly researched to determine the appropriate value.

• Professional consultations, inventory assistance, cataloging, verbal evaluations, and related services: $150 per hour, billed in 30-minute increments.

• Services conducted outside the office: $200 per hour, includes travel time, mileage, and any other travel-related expenses, with a minimum charge of one hour.

Yes, LexBrilliance assists private clients in converting jewelry that no longer fits their lifestyle into liquid assets, as well as estates and trusts looking to sell full or partial collections.

• A brokering fee is charged only after your jewelry sells

• A small intake fee applies at the start of the process to cover documentation and item intake

• If a formal appraisal is recommended, that service is billed separately and discussed beforehand

Yes, if you prefer to have your jewelry appraised on site—at your home, office, or bank— LexBrilliance operates two fully equipped portable gemological laboratories. All local assignments outside the office are billed at an hourly rate of $200, door to door. Please consider this when requesting on-site services.
